Coastal

Coastal is a seed release of Chem91 crosses. Chem91 and Chemdog in general has had such an impact on the landscape of cannabis at large. Of the existing Chemdog cuts, crosses using the 91 seem to create the most consistent and outstanding progeny. I was told by a handful of people that the pollen would be sterile and that she would not reverse. This was in part true as this pollen was less fertile and less productive then the other runs i’ve done. Grown in living soil in relatively small containers I certainly wasn’t pushing these plants. What I did yield is a small batch of feminized crosses that I am very excited about.

Lobster Pot (Butterwolf x Chem91) is a cross of my favorite from the Butter line, to this timeless classic. In this cross I hope to bring better aesthetic, color and timing to the Chem.

Seaweed (Swamp Thing x Chem91) Mother to Butterwolf, Swamp Thing has to be one of the best plants I ever grew or selected. Expect a stockier build then the 91, again bringing color, aesthetic, a faster finish and better calyx to leaf ratio. Swamp Thing seems to take dominance in its crosses and I’m expecting more of a Chem influenced Swamp Thing then a Swamp Thing influenced Chem but the combination is sure to be legendary.

Mussels (GG#4xChem91), although its reputation has been tarnished by mislabels and improper representation, this plant will always remain in my stable. A powerful, herbaceous fuel flavor that is strong but not lethargic. A distinct and robust flavor with notes of fuel, earth and herb, chocolate and coffee. GG#4 is always a pleasure to grow and yields are large and larf free. I expect to find a workhorse in this one. Tasty, foul, herbaceous fuel, big stacks, big yields, big flavor.

Shrimp Scampi - Lemon Royale (Lemon Tree x GMO/TKxSkunk) x Chem91 is certainly an outlier in my lineup. Strong Sharp lemon rind dominates the aroma and flavor. She takes some time to finish but is highly regarded by smokers, hashmakers and terpseekers. I expect the Lemon terps to hold but lean further towards rot and gas. Just can’t lose on this one either.

The Chum is going to remain unreleased and grown exclusively at a soon(ish) to be open facility in MA. Animal Mints is an amazing plant but the pheno hunt caused a lot of problems with herms and will have to be carefully vetted to find a stable winner. The flavor is deep earth, mentholated fuel and kush spice. A strong mouthcoat and potent high. The plant is so frosted I have barely been able to get it to take any pollen, producing very few seeds. Just furthering the rarity and value of this plant.

The Fish Head is going to require a full on second try.

I also have unreleased, a small batch of Barnacles (White Runtz x Chem91). Not sure my plans for this one. Could be an exclusive somewhere (i’m open to ideas). The White Runtz is colorful and aesthetic. Makes me uneasy as I would file this under “Instagram Weed”. However those Z terps do come through on the plant and the giant calyx, purple aesthetic is sure to bring some very different features to the 91. These two plants are very different so expect some surprises and potentially some range in expressions here.

Overall I am very excited for this very small release of seeds, grown in living soil, in house, here in MA.
